1. Acceptance of These Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Tracklio mobile application or related services (together, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use Tracklio.
These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal data.
2. Eligibility and Account Use
2.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Tracklio. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2.2 Account Responsibility
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out using your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
3. Description of the Service
3.1 Current Features
Tracklio currently provides:
- Vehicle management: Register and manage vehicles using a Vehicle Registration Number (VRN).
- MOT tracking: View MOT status and expiry dates using publicly available DVSA MOT records.
- Car park discovery: Find nearby car parks with estimated distance and travel time.
- Navigation: Turn-by-turn navigation to selected parking locations using mapping services.
- Controlled Parking Zone alerts: Location-based alerts when entering or nearing CPZs (where supported).
3.2 Planned Features
Some features are not yet live and will only be available when integrations are in place. These include:
- PCN tracking and notifications
- PCN payment and appeal redirection
- Council and operator integrations
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information, including correct vehicle details and VRNs. You must only register vehicles you own, lease, or are authorised to use.
4.2 Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes.
- Do not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access to systems or data.
- Do not use automated tools such as bots or scrapers.
- Do not reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code.
5. Vehicle, MOT, and PCN Data
5.1 MOT Information
MOT data is retrieved from publicly available DVSA MOT records where permitted. This information is provided for convenience only and may be delayed or incomplete. You remain responsible for ensuring your vehicle complies with legal MOT requirements.
5.2 PCN Information (When Available)
When PCN features are live, information may be retrieved from participating authorities. Tracklio does not issue PCNs or make enforcement decisions. You are responsible for verifying all PCN details directly with the issuing authority.
6. Navigation and Location Services
6.1 Location Permissions
Certain features require location permissions. Location data is used solely to provide navigation, parking discovery, and CPZ alerts. Disabling location services may limit functionality.
6.2 Navigation Disclaimer
Navigation is provided using third-party mapping services. Routes, travel times, and directions are estimates only. You must always follow traffic laws and drive safely.
7. Payments and Appeals
7.1 Payments
Tracklio does not process PCN payments. Where available, payment links redirect you to official third-party portals. We are not responsible for payment processing, disputes, or refunds.
7.2 Appeals
Tracklio does not submit appeals on your behalf. Appeal guidance is informational only and outcomes are determined solely by the issuing authority.
8. Notifications
Tracklio may send in-app, email, or SMS notifications depending on your preferences. Notifications are provided on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed. You remain responsible for monitoring deadlines and obligations.
9. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in Tracklio, excluding third-party services, belongs to Tracklio. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service without permission.
10. Service Availability and Changes
We aim to keep Tracklio available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, be suspended, or removed at any time.
11. Third-Party Services
Tracklio relies on third-party services such as mapping providers, payment processors, DVSA public MOT services, and cloud infrastructure. We are not responsible for their availability or accuracy.
12. Disclaimers and Liability
Tracklio is provided “as-is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for missed deadlines, penalties, navigation errors, or third-party failures. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
13. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. Some data may be retained to meet legal obligations.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or website. Continued use of Tracklio constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
